ABOUT SAPPHIRE DENTAL Sapphire Dental is owned by Manoj Tank and Nisha Sanghrajka, who took over the running of the practice from Centre for Dentistry in June 2020. Manoj is a Specialist in Periodontics and a dental implant surgeon, whilst Nisha is a general dentist with an interest in facial aesthetics and oral surgery. Both Manoj and Nisha qualified as dentists from the University of Bristol in 2008 and 2009 respectively, and are married with two sons and a daughter. Hello I'm Dr Kavita Malkan Associate Dentist Dentist with an interest in Invisalign Orthodontics BDS (London) GDC No. 193448 I certified as a dentist 12 years ago at Kings College London and have since practiced within the NHS and Private sectors. In 2016 I joined Align Technology (the manufacturer of the Invisalign clear aligner system) and became the UKs Clinical Manager soon after. Through my years at Align, I have developed extensive product knowledge, helping dentists through thousands of Invisalign cases. Dental Implants Book a Consultation Dental implants offer a secure replacement for missing teeth. Dental implants are essentially ‘artificial roots’ made of medical-grade titanium; they integrate with your jawbone to secure your replacement teeth, which are made to look and act just like your natural teeth. Dental implants can restore your quality of life, comfort and appearance. Having replacement teeth that look, feel and function like your natural ones can have a positive impact on your self-confidence and overall wellbeing. Manoj Tank is our skilled implant surgeon using dental implant systems that are clinically proven through some of the most thorough and in-depth research in the industry. He offers an extensive range of teeth-replacement options to his and his referred patients, replacing a missing tooth with a single implant crown, many missing teeth with an implant bridge or supported denture, or all teeth missing with a full arch restoration. It may be that you will require bone grafting or a sinus lift as part of your implant treatment to ensure secure placement. At your initial implant consultation, Manoj will perform a thorough assessment and discuss your options so you can determine the best implant-retained solution for you. This will be written up detailing the stages of implant placement to allow healing before restoring with a crown, bridge or supported denture. This staged approach takes around 6–12 months to ensure the best and most predictable long-term outcome. Excellent cleaning and professional maintenance helps dental implants to last; scientific studies have confirmed that 95% of implants remain secure at 5 years, and 92% at 10 years. The implant system we use is a recognised system from a reputable company and has had, and continues to have, significant research and development over decades of usage; it is extremely rare for a dental implant to not integrate with bone in non-smoking healthy individuals. Invisalign Straightening Book a Consultation Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment using a series of clear aligners to move teeth into position. Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, clear, plastic aligners that cover your teeth and move them gently into position. They are clear and less noticeable than traditional braces, and can be removed for cleaning your teeth, eating and drinking. Invisalign 3D scanning technology is used to assess and plan your clear aligner treatment. The unique ClinCheck software allows you to see how the series of aligners will move your teeth into their projected position, so you can see how your teeth will look before the start of treatment. Once finalised, the scans are sent to the laboratory to make your clear aligners. You will return to collect your aligners and be given instructions on use. You wear each set of aligners for a minimum of 22 hours a day for 1-2 weeks, until they become ‘passive’, before moving on to the next aligner in the series. Regular reviews and sometimes attachments are needed to ensure the appropriate placement of controlled movement on the teeth. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign not only controls the amount of movement per aligner, but also the timing of the movement. This results in an efficient force delivery system that moves teeth into the desired prescribed position. Typically, Invisalign treatment can take between 6 and 18 months, with the fee ranging from £3500–£4500 depending on complexity. This fee can be spread over 12 months and includes retainers to hold your teeth into position and teeth whitening at the end of treatment. Dental Hygienist O ur dental hygiene team will clean and polish your teeth and e nsure a healthy smile Maintaining regular visits to our dental hygiene team will keep your teeth clean and mouth healthy. They will professionally clean your teeth and remove plaque and tartar, both of which encourage dental decay and gum disease. They will also advise on how you can improve your oral care at home, showing brushing techniques and cleaning aids such as small interdental brushes. If you have gum (periodontal) disease, our Specialist in periodontics, Manoj Tank, will work with our dental hygiene team to professionally clean and help maintain the health of your gums. We also offer air polishing as an additional treatment (fees apply), where our dental hygienist will use a small nozzle to deliver a jet of compressed air, water and fine cleaning powders to gently and thoroughly clean your teeth. This is a non-invasive treatment that is particularly effective at removing even the worst stains, such as those caused by coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco. As air polishing is less noisy and very gentle, it is especially suited for treating children, and those with sensitive gums and teeth. We also offer Direct Access hygiene's for non - registered patients who wish to simply have a hygiene appointment without having a check up first with one of our dentists.
